Agency reviews and comments

Response
Helene was AWESOME!!!!!!! :-)
Not at this time.
As long as you are willing to follow-up and take on some of the case management, the agency was good. Their appears to be turn over with their case managers. Also, the boiler plate contracts need outside consult before signing---a social worker who specializes in family planning was very useful as they hear the "reality" of many experiences and suggest practical changes that Brisman's staff did not.
Slow on matching. Very impersonal. Feels like we are pretty much on our own all the time. They didn't even reply to our email when we informed them we had baby twins and sent pictures. How cold!
Honestly, it would be too long to explain everything that went wrong with this agency, not once, not twice, not three times. We were totally discouraged and truthfully not one star should be given, considered the journey part with them a total nightmare. I truthfully believe, Melissa Brisman cannot truly be aware of everything that happened to us, although she knows a little of it and apologized when she found out but then another thing happened even worse, I cut all ties with them and she didn't even call or care to email or anything and I know I emailed her also. I don't know if she ever got it, if an employee intercepted it, but truthfully don't care. Needless to say we have begun the process of our second journey and have chosen a direct carrier/ip relationship and the with a carrier whom also agrees that this agency was not what she thought it was going to be. Surrogacy Fund Management part of the operation was the only part we have nothing truly negative to say.
Would like to say very honestly thank you to our I CP Mrs. Joan Taylor. Besides an outstanding professional she was a friend and a human being extraordinary.
We had a relatively routine journey and the coordinator we worked with, Helene, was great! We didn't have or need much interaction with Melissa herself (though she was available if we needed her). The escrow fund service was well managed and very helpful to our relationship with our surrogate.
I found that my parent aid through the process was very helpful to me and my surrogate. I have never done any of this before, so it was good to have someone else to rely on. It also helped me with the communication with my surrogate, as I wasn't that closely involved in the process.
Horrible follow up. Sloppy from minute one. It is difficult to part from any agency when the journey is already started, for us it took a very long time to find a surrogate and that is not necessarily the agency's fault. What was disturbing is the multiple errors made at many levels, led to an atrocious time spent between the moment we matched with a GC and the time a contract was signed. No one took responsibility for that. Emails are not answered in a timly fashion. They are very condescending with questions. Would not recommend RP.
I think they were ok. At times, I felt the agency should have stepped in and been more proactive with the surrogate by monitoring her a bit more. It took a few surrogates to get it right - a bit of better screening might have been helpful. But the bottom line is that no journey is completely smooth and at the end of the day, I have my baby.
Never deal with this agency ! We loose a lot of money because of them. Eventually used other agency. They are liars, watch out !
