Agency reviews and comments

Response
I could not fault the service provided from this agency. They are very competitive and the service provided by Ann Miranda and her team was excellent. I have recommended this agency to another couple who have since had a baby.
As others have mentioned, Ann Miranda (SAI's Director) is a very knowledgable and a very caring person. She was the reason why we decided to sign up with SAI. We were matched within 2 days with an amazing surrogate who gave birth to our twins. They were very upfront and transparent regarding fees/process, including access to egg donor profiles and some surrogates (before signing up). There was never any pressure to sign up right away, and that made us comfortable to make our decision. Surrogates are treated very well and love the agency and so did all the other IPs we asked for references. The only "drawback": It is not the cheapest agency (none in California are) but they are very competitive for Southern California.
VERY HELPFUL WHEN WE SWITCHED SURROGATES WITHIN THE AGENCY DUE TO CONFLICT WITH THE FIRST SURROGATES WANTS
SAI was wonderful. Upfront about the process and expectations. I believe Ann Miranda sets expectations right from the beginning. That has been the most helpful.
Surrogate Alternatives was a great agency to work with. Unfortunately, we ran into every problem possible during our journey, which resulted in 3 egg donation cycles, 5 embryo transfers, 2 surrogates, 2 women who backed out of being a surrogate after signing paperwork, etc, etc, etc. Plus we were originally working with us in Minneapolis, the surrogate in California, and the egg donor (my sister) in Houston, Texas. The first IVF clinic we used was HORRIBLE -- the doctor should be banned from medical practice.
SAI provides very nice surrogate mothers, escrow company, psycology doctor and lawyers. Overall thier survices are excellent.
Was introduced through fertility doctor which I interviewed, and did not use the doctor, but used SAI and they were efficient and pleasant and knowledgeable, especially Ann. My surrogate however, for some reason had minimal contact with her coordinator (not Ann), and she found that to be unprofessional
We were guided throughout the process by the extremely knowledgeable and professional Ann Miranda. While the paperwork and hurdles that had to be overcome seemed daunting at times, she very much simplified the process for us and made the overall experience positive and enjoyable. We were recommended to Surrogate Alternatives from friends in a similar position in New Zealand, that successfully started their family with their help.
