Agency reviews and comments

Response
(2013, USA parents) The agency we used in our first journey has behaved unethically and without integrity. We are currently suing them. The agency we used in our second journey that resulted in our son, also has opportunity areas.
(2012, USA parents) They focus very heavily on the surrogates which is completely understandable and acceptable but seem to forgot that there are intended parents involved with this process as well who might want and benefit from support meetings, hearing other ip's experiences, etc.
(2015, USA parents) The agency misappropriated funds from our trust account. We are currently considering litigation against them. They were rude, inconsiderate, downright unprofessional, and totally unavailable to support us in this very difficult journey. They promised things in the beginning that they failed to deliver in the end. They threatened to share information with our surrogate in an attempt to have us sign a document waiving any further rights to sue them. Avoid CSP and find an agency that will support you in your journey to parenthood.
(2000, International parents) Our son was born through Surrogacy 18 years ago. We have worked with CSP. We found them being a very professional agency and very honest regarding our financial part. Regularly we would get a statement of our trust account and we could see what had to be paid. CSP found us a lovely surrogate mum who was happily married and had one child. Both of them had secure jobs and living comfortably. Our Surrogacy process went well as CSP gave us a good guidence through out the whole process. What we liked was that we got all information before hand - the best IVF doctor, a specialising lawyer, a CSP case manager, a CSP social worker looking after our surrogate and an accounter looking after the financial side. We would not hesitate to recommend CSP to any other couples. CSP has the most experience in Surrogacy laws. They were asked to establish Surrogacy laws in California. We keeping in touch with our surrogate mum all those years till now. Our son is very proud of her and went to visit her. They had an awesome time together. She gave us a beautiful baby boy who has turn into a well balanced young man.
(2013, International parents) Coming from France and knowing little about the surrogacy itself, we did pay a visit to several agencies and met with CSP among others. Not only we had the best welcome but also were able to get all of our questions covered. After we selected them it hasn't been a week and a day when necessary during which our case manager would not have been in touch with us. They did interact efficiently with all parties involved even when it required extensive efforts to solve some legal issues in the state of Nevada, which they did. Still today we keep all our trust in them.
(2014, USA parents) CSP was recommended to us by friends that also worked with them. They were terrific. They gave us accurate information and very good advice. What CSP did best was matching us with the right surrogate. After extensive interviews and discussions with us and potential surrogates, they found one that really matched our personalities. We not only got a surrogate, but a new friend - what a wonderful surprise to have on the journey to having a baby.
(2011, International parents) CSP is professional, and the psycholigist we had with them was really great. They found us the best surrogate ever. We are now having our second baby with this same agency and surrogate! The They send monly ledgers so you know exactly where your money goes to, we really appeciates this. And the fees paid are really worth it.
(2007, USA parents) CSP was fantastic. despite not being a "gay" agency, they couldn't have been more supportive. we had a fantastic match with our surro and the counseling support they provided her and us was a real benefit.
(2016, USA parents) 1. Lied! Wrote to me that a surrogate doesn't have criminal history till I find out that there is a CLASS A criminal history!!! 2.after I rejected that surrogate, they are So unethical that I found out they are going to send the criminal's profile to another IP!!! I think they are just hoping to find a fool who would fall for this without finding out. 3. Other agencies charged $0 to show profiles, they charged me $12000, saying difference covers medical pre-screening for profiles. LIE! After I was matched with a surrogate without medical pre-screening, they refused to send her records till I pay another $10000! its obvious from the massive amount of Internet advertising that the spend all that money on fake advertisements and none on service. 4. When I talked these issues with owner, he says "the retainer we said we only need to find surrogate we think is okay, never said we need to find surrogate you think is okay. you could leave our program" (without refund of course) I still have his voice recording. That means, if you cannot accept the profiles, they kick you out of the program without giving$12000 back, even if the profiles have criminal history/drug issues. There is hardly a way for redress Coz retainer says two rounds of arbitration before litigation. 5. All my reviews are true I know csp keeps deleting true reviews. On Yelp there was a session "reviews currently not recommended"on the bottom of the page. I only see those negative reviews now. If I had seen those reviews before I signed up I would have avoided 8 months of agony and +$30000 money! 6. Everything I posted is absolutely real even though owner threatened me not to post, but it's the only right thing to do.
(2002, International parents) More people are more likely to leave (negative) reviews when experiences have not met expectations. Positive reviews need to be canvassed for. We were surprised that our surrogacy organisation (CSP-California) did not rate much higher. We are an Australian gay couple that worked with CSP in 2001 and 2002. We have since then referred many of our gay and straight friends wanting children through surrogacy to CSP. They have simply never failed to provide exceptional care and exceptional outcomes. Our twins are now 16. We still have regular ongoing social contact with CSP even though our working relationship with them effectively finished in the early 2000's. In the emotive world of wanting and having babies, I suspect not everyone can be pleased. In particular amongst gay people, some might inherently feel more comfortable working with specifically gay focused surrogacy organisations, which CSP is not. This may account for the fact that on this site, CSP appears to us to rate surprisingly anywhere other than right at the top! Back in 2001 when we started our journey, we simply wanted to work with the best established and most professional surrogacy agency. Our experience suggested that CSP helps people have children, absolutely regardless of parent's sexual orientation. If intended gay parents are specifically looking for validation of their choice as gay men (and women) to be parents, maybe CSP would disappoint. We absolutely stand by our choice.
(2009, USA parents) Going with CSP is the biggest regret of my life. They misappropriated funds from my trust account, refused to meet with me and hurled vicious accusations against me such as that I was acting from a place of anger because my partner left me and that I wanted to abort a healthy fetus. Stay away!
