Clinic reviews and comments

(2019, USA Parents) We had a wonderful experience with our doctor at Shady Grove and we were very happy with the quality of the medical care we received. There were some stumbles and difficulties on the administrative side, both in terms of clear communication and responsiveness from the finance team and sometimes in getting test results transmitted promptly. In the end, though, we felt great confidence in the medical decision making and care at the moments that really mattered.
(2016, USA parents) We were very pleased overall with Shady Grove. Although the people we dealt with were all very welcoming and helpful to us as a same-gender couple, a few of the institutional aspects of the organization are still a bit heteronormative.
(2019, USA parents) Coordinator was a mess and unorganized. RE seemed knowledgeable, but very much felt like a number there. Had to constantly remind them about who we were
(2016, USA parents) Shady Grove is fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone struggling with fertility issues. I had less than a 16% chance of having a baby and they found a way to make a miracle.
(2017, USA parents) We had a great experience with Shady Grove and loved our doctor and nurses.
Was not sensitive to Intended Mother by treating the Surrogate like an IVF patient. Surrogate had to relay information and questions received by clinic to Intended Mother instead of contacting directly.
(2016, USA parents) Our doctor was 100% top notch and we appreciate all she has done and continues to do for us. I ranked the clinic itself as lower due to the occasional lack of responsiveness or reliable information from the support staff. Sometimes I think they forget how emotional this is for would-be parents and treat communications as if they were working in some regular office job, not one that involves creating life and sometimes losing life.
I think that the process for the gestational carrier route is not as clear or as smooth as the traditional IVF route. There are some opportunities to improve this process and make it more clear to the parents
(2016, USA parents) We highly recommend Shady Grove as it proved to be an outstanding fertility clinic. Their staff was so compassionate, caring, understanding and helpful throughout our IVF/embryo process. We are forever grateful to Dr. Levy and his staff for their care, service, and professionalism.
(2016, USA parents) The clinic has done this many times, and their level of experience was helpful. As a large clinic, it's clearly a business and things like payment plans and shared risk programs are a little less than ideal, but none of that matters as much as the quality of care that ultimately led to successful birth of a child.
