About HRC Fertility:*

HRC Fertility’s mission is to help people bring their dreams to life by providing compassionate care using the latest technologies in a cost effective manner. Unlike many other centers, patients have a dedicated doctor and nurse who are extremely involved in every step of the process with Dr. Norian doing most all of his own ultrasounds, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers. We believe that our individualized patient-centered care greatly helps our patients regularly achieve the highest pregnancy rates in the U.S. With nine offices throughout Southern California, Dr. Norian and his team are close to many surrogates and egg donors which further helps to improve care and decrease extra costs. HRC Fertility has a highly specialized in-house PGT-A or reproductive genetics laboratory. Dr. Norian and the HRC Fertility team are strong LGBTQ community advocates and provide care for all whether they are single or in a relationship - love is what comes first!

Clinic reviews and comments

Response
(2015, USA parents) Great facility. We plan on using them again in the near future.
(2018, International parents) Very professional and also have good translation service.
(2019, International Parents) Dr. Norian was very friendly and helpful.
(2019, International Parents) Very professional and organized.
(2020, International parents) Effective and fast
(2020, USA parents) Excellent
(2020, International parents) Dr. Norian
(2019, USA parents) We have been working with Dr. Robert Boostanfar at HRC Fertility in Encino. Our first egg donation resulted in five embryos and we tried three implants without success. Dr. Boostanfar was very supportive and concise in explaining to us our options. The second egg donation was very successful and resulted in 36 embryos. The first implant from that gave us our son and the second implant twins, a boy and a girl.
(2011, International parents) I think that the medications provided to the surrogate could have been more aggressive. It took 3 attempts for the surrogate to become pregnant and we found out later that injectible hormones were only given to her for the 3rd attempt. Many fertility doctors give these on all attempts.
(2020, International parents) HRC was very professional and our embryo transfer took on the very first try.
(2019, USA parents) HRC and Dr Kolb were professional and I felt well taken care of throughout the whole process. The location was convenient and I was more than happy to fly there for their services. Yes, their waiting room is always full with patients (mostly Chinese), but I take that as a good sign they know what they are doing. I plan to use them again for my second journey!
(2019, International parents) HRC Pasadena was fantastic. The facilities were very impressive and although there were times where they had a lot of patients, we always felt looked after.
(2018, USA parents) We had a great experience with Dr. Norian, however some of the nursing staff could use improvement
(2021, USA parents) Dr. Tourgeman from HRC Fertility is the best! We succeeded in all 3 IVFs 1st try. 1st was a success with twins but unfortunately by body couldn't handle the twins so I lost them at 22 weeks. Through recommendation, we used Gifted Journeys a surrogate agency and both of my surrogates embryo implantations were a success. Both the 1st try! No failures all 3 times?! Like I said, he's the best! I would recommend this doctor and clinic to all.
(2017, International parents) The clinic was overall great, the Doctor we had was amazing, however the day to day communication with the nurse cordinator was hot and miss.
(2013, International parents) Perfect is the only word. The accomodation is not really relevant for the clinic.
(2017, USA parents) We are a lesbian couple who used eggs and womb of the same partner. we were very comfortable at hrc and fet very welcome and acceptd as an lgbt couple.
(2012, International parents) We used HRC and found them medically to be excellent. Some of their support staff are not so good and knowledgable or responsive to emails. Note that Nurses and Doctors are fine - it is the "coorindators, financial counsellors, etc" that we had issues with - they could have communicated better and not sent out nonsense emails or ignored emails when questions were too hard for them.
(2020, International parents) My doctor was Dr. Kolbs at HRC Pasadena. I am very pleased that my boy embryo took on the very first try with Dr. Kolbs.
(2019, International parents) I'm actually sad to leave such review but I have to be honest and hope that they can take my feedback as way of improving their services. Out of all the IVF doctors we interviewed we loved Dr Kolb. He was very knowledgeable and informational before and throughout the process. Unfortunately the issues began with our egg donor, who had a bad experience at the clinic by the nurses and staff. She felt judged and unwelcome in the visits leading to and during the egg retrieval procedure. Out of 24 eggs we only ended up with two good embryos, which was ok but not ideal. We are unsure as to why this low results. The donor's previous client secured over four embryos in total. Of course this could have been many factors, but thought I'd mention. The surrogate also had a less than pleasant experience at the clinic, and it had to do with nurses and staff. She found several miscommunications regarding appointments and procedures. In one instance they emailed her another patient's private information accidentally. The day of the transfer they wrote on the board the name of the father whose embryo was NOT going to be transferred that day. We are seriously contemplating transferring our remaining embryo to a different clinic and with a different doctor.
(2018, International parents) HRC at Encino is impressive. Dr Tourgeman is incredible. We needed just one transfer. They monitor very tightly all the process.
(2016, USA parents) We were completely happy with HRC and loved our doctor. Would highly recommend to anyone. There are a lot of question along the way about optional procedures or who things can get done and I think the doctor explained everything really well and guided us great along the way. There were a couple of hick ups along the way and he referred us to another great specialist and at the end, we were successful in the first attempt.
(2016, USA parents) Pricey but good service. However, the first two cycles failed with grade A embryos. Not sure if failures should be attributed to random chance or operational errors.
(2018, USA parents) We had 5 embryos and all 5 of them took. They give you an 85% chance of working and we got 100%. Great company.
(2018, International parents) So far as I know HRC is good for the success rate and specialty. I chose HRC Pasadena because my friend recommended it. Everything is fine except that sometimes their response is pretty slow. I asked some questions and waited forever to get the answers. They requested for some additional bills after my surrogate's second implant. Understandable those are outside my package. However they just asked for that amount of money and my credit card authorization form. I asked for some details, at least an invoice or receipt. Then no reply again. I would definitely not recommend HRC to others because overall I felt I was ignored, not concerned.
(2015, USA parents) Used dr boostanfar, very good chair side manner. Fresh cycle did not take, and surprised dr. Boostanfar considering embryos were tested and considered grade aa, but, frozen cycle resulted in twin live births. He is great, the support staff especially during transfer had some language communication issues which resulted in surrogate having no clue what the instructions were.
(2018, USA parents) An incredible experience. HRC Rancho was amazing. Dr. Norian and his staff were honest, thorough, professional, and accommodating. They made us feel welcomed and encouraged us through every step of our journey. As an LGBTQ family we felt embraced by this clinic and credit them with the gift of expanding our family. Our daughter is the most precious gift we could have ever received and we are eternally grateful.
(2019, International parents) Our Fertility clinic is very professional too and explain any questions very clearly. because for us, fo the first time to do this service, we don't know it very clearly and only achieve some informations via internet. fortunately, they are very efficiency and helped us a lot.
(2015, International parents) I went to HRC Encino with Dr. Boostanfar. He is amazing and great as I only went through one cycle and have my baby safely. The most beautiful boy. Thanks for them.
(2019, International Parents) I used the HRC at Rancho Cucamonga. I am a physician myself and I know what it takes to have a success practice. Dr. Norian (uncle John for my little one!) is the best that it could happen in my trip. He is not only a great professional but also a great human. He was always very compassionate, he was explaining everything, answering all my questions. Very supportive and also excellent caregiver for my surrogate and the egg donor. The environment in the HRC in Rancho is very relaxing and humane, in contrary to the one one in Pasadena! I also need to mention his nurse Deanne Molina. She is the most heart warming, caring and understanding individual and also very knowledgeable, effective and professional. Together with Dr. Norian are a great team!!! I don't have enough words to thank them bot for their care, professionalism, compassion and support! They are a great team and a great asset for the HRC and for the male reproductive world
(2020, International parents) Dr. Norian is very professional and my coordinator Michelle was also very helpful. HRC Rancho was organized and communicated well with me. Even after I graduated from the IVF clinic they still stayed in contact with me and followed up regularly on how the pregnancy had progressed.
(2019, USA Parents) From the moment we met Dr. Norian and his incredible staff at HRC Rancho, we knew we were in capable, honest, and respectful hands. He and his staff went above and beyond in his attention to our needs and professionalism in handling our situation. He and his staff are the reason we have a beautiful, healthy, and amazing little girl. Thank you is not enough.
(2020, USA parents) We worked with Dr. Bradford Kolb and his Team. There is no other team I would trust. Dr. Kolb was with us every step of the way. We felt supported, heard, and made to feel like family. We are over the moon with them!
(2013, USA parents) The Dr. Was apparently working with Planet Hospital. I question if we were completely informed about the relationship and if there was a conflict of interest.
